The Rabo Community Hub Competition

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our competition who will each recieve a share of $100,000 to upgrade or improve rural halls, clubrooms, and Marae.

Rabobank Community Hub Competition

Terms and Conditions

COMPETITION SUMMARY

Rabobank’s Community Hub Competition (“Competition”) provides New Zealand’s rural communities with the chance to be one of twenty (20) recipients to receive $5,000.00 to go towards any products and/or services that improve the interior or exterior (including grounds) of your local rural Community Hub (“Project”). It’s all part of our mission to support rural communities across New Zealand.

 

HOW TO ENTER

1.       Participation in the Competition is easy. Tell us about your local rural Community Hub Competition and how $5,000.00 would benefit your Project  and you could receive $5,000.00.   

2.       Enter at www.rabobank.co.nz/communityhubcomp  Participants must complete the required fields in the entry form for their entry to be accepted into the Competition.

3.       The Competition begins on 1 March 2025 and ends at 11.59pm on 31 March 2025 (“Competition Period”).

4.       All participants must be eligible to enter the Competition, as set out in the ‘Terms and Conditions of Entry’ below.

5.       Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of the full ‘Terms and Conditions of Entry’ below.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Please read our terms and conditions before submitting your entry, to make sure that you meet the criteria for entering the Competition.

 

Submissions

1.       All entries must be submitted via www.rabobank.co.nz/communityhubcomp. Participants must complete the required fields in the entry form for their entry to be accepted into the Competition.

2.       The Community Hub nominated must be a rural Community Hub with a Project that benefits the local rural community.

3.       Should an entry include a photograph of the Community Hub or Project to be completed, it is the photographer’s responsibility to obtain consent from all photographed persons and owners of recognisable photographed property prior to being photographed, including consent to these terms and photographs submitted to the Competition.

4.       The photographer gives permission for all photographs submitted to Rabobank to be used by Rabobank and grants an irrevocable royalty-free licence to Rabobank to store all photographs submitted, use all photographs free of charge in any of Rabobank’s online and print publications for an indefinite period. The photographer will be acknowledged by Rabobank where practicable.

 

Criteria for Entry

5.       All entries submitted between 1 March 2025 and 11.59pm on 31 March 2025 will be eligible for the Competition.

6.       Twenty (20) winners will be selected. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7.       If the winning entry includes a photograph, the winner must, within fourteen days of being contacted by Rabobank, complete the supplied consent form including:

a.       Consent from all photographed persons; and/or

b.       Consent from the parent/guardian for any photographed person under the age of 18; and/or

c.       Consent from the property owner for recognisable photographed property (excluding aerial views, extreme close ups, own property or public property).

8.       If a winner does not provide evidence of consent upon request by Rabobank for photographed persons or property, the photograph will be ineligible for the prize. Rabobank reserves the right to establish whether proof of consent is required.

 

Prizes

9.       Twenty (20) winners will receive one cash prize of $5,000.00 to go towards their Project for the rural Community Hub (“Prize”).

10.   The winners will be notified via email. Inability to contact a winner within fourteen (14) days of selection will result in the Prize being forfeited and an alternative entry will be selected to receive the Prize.

11.   The Prize is not exchangeable or transferable.

12.   The cash will be paid to the winner’s nominated New Zealand bank account.

13.   The winner is responsible for all tax or other costs that may be associated with the Prize.

14.   Rabobank may request a photograph and/or a written statement, or video from the winner, showing and explaining how the Prize was applied to the Project of the Community Hub.  

 

General

15.   The promoter of the Competition is Rabobank New Zealand Limited, Level 4, 32 Hood Street, Hamilton.

16.   The Competition is open to:

a.       New Zealand residents and citizens only;

b.       Participants must be over the age of 18.

17.   The winners will be required to enter into Rabobank’s Sponsorship Agreement, outlining the terms and conditions of the funding and how the funding will be spent. The Sponsorship Agreement will be in form and substance satisfactory to Rabobank.

18.   Employees and contractors (including their immediate families) of Rabobank, its associated companies and advertising agencies are ineligible to submit an entry to the Competition.

19.   Each participant consents to the personal information given being disclosed to companies related to Rabobank, and being used in the running of this Competition and for marketing purposes by Rabobank (including marketing by electronic means). Rabobank may be contacted on 0800 500 933 if an entrant wishes to gain access to or correct their personal information or to opt-out of their personal information being used for marketing purposes.

20.   Submitters to the Competition and the winner consents to their name and Project being used for public relations purposes relating to this promotion in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration.

21.   The winner agrees to be available for any publicity with Rabobank.

22.   Rabobank is not responsible for submissions that are undeliverable due to a fault or delay in any electronic transmission.

23.   If participants fail to adequately submit an entry with the required details set out at www.rabobank.co.nz/communityhubcomp, that entry will not be accepted into the Competition.

24.   Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Rabobank and its suppliers exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the submission of the entry, any photos, the Competition or any Prize.

25.   Rabobank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or terminate the Competition, including the Prize.
