Terms and Conditions



Competition Summary

Rabobank New Zealand Limited (“Rabobank”) is putting the call out to all New Zealand primary schools to tell us why your school library would like to win a set of six (6) ‘George the Farmer’ – fun and educational farming books ("Competition"). The books are suitable for children of all ages and ‘George the Farmer’ educational resources are available free to assist Year 4 learning. To enter simply tell us in 100 words or less why your school would benefit from a set of ‘George the Farmer’ books. It's that easy!

45 schools will be selected to receive a set of six (6) ‘George the Farmer’ books valued at $170 including postage. The fun and educational farming books are designed to inspire kids to learn about agriculture and where their food and fibre come from creatively.

 

How to Enter

1. Participation in the Competition is easy. Each entrant must submit in 100 words or less, their reasons why the New Zealand primary school nominated should receive a 'George the Farmer' book set.

2. Entries can be sent via email to George the Farmer book set (eventsair.com) Each entrant/school may only enter the Competition once.

3. The Competition begins at 8am on Monday, 4 September 2023 and ends at 11.59pm on Friday, 15 September 2023 (“Competition Period”).

4. You can submit either Word or PDF files, and files must not exceed 2mb.

5. All participants must be eligible to enter the Competition, as set out in the ‘Terms and Conditions of Entry’ below.

6. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of the full Terms and Conditions below.

Terms and Conditions of Entry

Please read our terms and conditions before submitting an entry, to make sure you are eligible to submit an entry and meet the criteria for entering the Competition.

 

Submissions

1. In order to enter the Competition, each entrant is to submit, in 100 words or less, their reasons why the institution nominated should receive a ‘George the Farmer’ book set. This should form part of the entrant’s entry to the Competition, during the Competition Period.

2. All entries must be submitted via George the Farmer book set (eventsair.com) with the entrants:

  • Full name;
  • The primary school that the entrant is submitting on behalf of;
  • Primary school postal address;
  • Email address; and
  • Contact number.

3. Each entrant/primary school may only enter the Competition once.

4. Entries will be judged on the basis of originality and creativity. Rabobank’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into resulting in the outcome.

 

Criteria for Entry

5. Entries submitted between 8am on Monday 4 September 2023 and 11.59pm on Friday 15 September 2023 will be eligible for the Competition.

6. The Competition is open to entrants who satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

  • is over 18 years of age at the start of the Competition Period;
  • is a New Zealand resident or citizen;
  • is a staff member of their nominated Primary School based in New Zealand;
  • is not an employee or director of Rabobank or its related entities, or part of the immediate families of an employee or director of Rabobank;
  • is not an employee or director or member of Rabobank’s Rabo Community Fund or Rabo Client Councils, or part of the immediate families of an employee or director of Rabobank’s Rabo Community Fund or Rabo Client Councils.

Prizes

7. There are 45 ‘George the Farmer’ book sets (“Prize”) to be won. Only one (1) Prize is awarded for each winner. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. On Friday 29 September 2023, the Prize winners (“Winners”) will be notified via the email address used to submit their entry. The Winner’s name and photo may also be published on Rabobank’s website.

9. Inability to contact a Winner within fourteen days of selection will result in the Prize being forfeited and an alternative entry will be selected to receive the Prize.

10. The Prize is not exchangeable or transferable.

11. The Prize will only be delivered in New Zealand. The Winner should allow 28 days from notification for delivery.

General

12. The promoter of the Competition is Rabobank New Zealand Limited, 32 Hood Street, Hamilton, New Zealand.

13. Information on how to enter and Prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

14. Each Entrant consents to the personal information given being disclosed to companies related to Rabobank, and being used in the running of this Competition and for marketing purposes by Rabobank (including marketing by electronic means). Rabobank may be contacted on 0800 500 933 if an Entrant wishes to gain access to or correct their personal information or to opt-out of their personal information being used for marketing purposes.

15. Entrants to the Competition and Winners consent to their name and associated primary school being used for public relations purposes relating to this promotion in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration.

16. The Winners agree to be available for any publicity with Rabobank.

17. Rabobank is not responsible for entries that are undeliverable due to a fault or delay in any electronic transmission.

18. If entrants fail to adequately submit an entry with the required details set out under ‘How to Enter’, that entry will not be accepted into the Competition.

19. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Rabobank and its suppliers exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the entry, the Competition or any Prizes.

20. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of Rabobank, the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, Rabobank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or terminate the Competition, including the Prizes.
